This weekend I’m going to make candy cane rice krispies marshmallow “squares”. It’s about the level of baking or cooking I can handle this holiday season because I am just not good at domestic things like that. But I’m going to try because lockdown has me bored, so eating it is!
For today’s post I wanted you to share in the baking fun, so I searched the internet far and wide (well Etsy) to find you some fun vintage Christmas baking ideas from the 1950s that you can bake all holiday season long!
So dear readers, fire up those ovens and let the fun begin!

What a lovely collection!
Loved the giant cookie Merry Go Round. I would have loved to make this for my kids or now for the grandkids, except for the COVID. I was a teenage baker in the 50’s!! I did make a rolled cake similar to the Yule Log, not as fancy though.
Thanks for the comment pat! The Merry Go round would be fun. Next year! I loved rolled cakes, they are so yummy. I want one now lol!

What a lip-lickingly fantastic roundup for festive vintage recipes. I couldn’t help but beam over a few familiars from my youth, baked with love by ladies who came of age or were young wives and moms during the 40s – 60s.
Happiest holiday season wishes coming your way, dear Liz!
