So many fantastic things to see at this birthday party or wedding shower, 1950s vintage photo. First up the 1950s Dresses..so cute! I also love the purse the lady in the white is holding (I own a similar one). Those chairs are fun too and of course all the cute 1950s hairstyles.

WOW the 1940s hairstyle on our lovely lady in the front of this dance party image is stunning (so is her dress)! The decor hanging from the ceiling is also quite interesting and fun.

Roller skating is seeing a resurgence in popularity these days and so it’s fun to see how girls in the 1940s dressed for their own roller skating party fun. What a super photo!

Cake anyone? I am more of a pie person, but the cake in this 1960s office party (not sure what kind of party this is to be honest), sure looks good.

  1. Happy Birthday to you! 🎂🥳 People used to dance! My parents went out every Friday night to go dancing. When I was a teenager and young adult, there was always a band playing somewhere, and we all danced our way through Disco! Even pre-Covid, I just don’t hear of dances any more.

    • Thank you! Dances were something different back then, but they still happen all the time (before Covid). I’m a swing dancer (Lindy hop) and I would attend a dance ever Saturday with a live band here in Toronto. It was so fun! This happens all over the world in the Lindy hop realm. So they still exist but maybe not as frequent as they used to be.

Thanks again for the happy birthday!

      Liz
