It has come to my attention that I have NEVER done a vintage Christmas Advertising post (I have done catalogs as you just recently saw, but never print ads). How this is possible is beyond me as I have done almost every other season since I launched this blog in 2012. Oh well whatever my reasonings, it is officially here now!
Let’s take a look friends!

These are great memories. My favorite Christmas advertising from my kid years are the retail catalogues, and the Christmas records every retail store had back then. The ones we have the full set of are the W.T.Grant “A Very Merry Christmas” but others too like J.C.Penney and Goodyear’s “The Great Songs Of Christmas” among others.
The retail catalogues are a fav of mine as well. What a great collection you have!
I did a blog post just recently on a Sears wishbook from the 1950s that you might enjoy: http://www.vintageinn.ca/2021/12/merry-christmas-inside-look-at-a-1952-sears-christmas-book/
