This is a different and fun post for me and I’m just squeezing in on the last possible day for May’s deadline.

Big Chill (retro & professional kitchen appliances) approached me and asked if I would be interested in doing a post on how I would decorate my dream kitchen using one of their amazing retro designed appliances. They mentioned that the colour for May is Turquoise, and since I don’t have a great kitchen in my teeny tiny apartment this was a fun little project to tackle.

My appliance to start off with is their stove, as seen below. HOW CUTE!!

And now here is how ‘The Vintage Inn blog’ would style my kitchen around this item. I went with a Turquoise, Tangerine, Chrome and Off-White theme.

What do you think? Totally cute right? And soooo me. The stove is just fantastic and I know that my not so vintage loving husband would approve of having one major piece in the kitchen being this colour. However…he is not aware that I would probably throw in the fridge as well (seen below). Surprise!  🙂

  1. So cute. I love the turquoise color. Who would ever want a ho-hum granite kitchen when you could have it cheery? My mother’s kitchen has lemon/lime colors and cherries on the clock and hand towels, very kitschy. You can’t be depressed in a kitschy kitchen!

    • Ohhh your mothers kitchen sounds just fantastic! I agree with you about how you can’t be depressed in a kitschy kitchen, it’s just not possible 🙂

      Have a marvelous day!

  2. I am itching to makeover my kitchen at the moment, and some bright retro colour is definitely needed! I just can’t decide what kind of colours. Turquoise has always been a favourite with me, but I did just get a red toaster, so maybe not! I love your turquoise and orange combo though, which I would never have thought of, but it’s really great!

    • Ohhh your so lucky! Can I fly over to you and help? 🙂 Well as you probably already know, Pinterest is an amazing place filled with tons of super ideas. I look forward to hearing what you decided to go with.

  3. I love the fact that you used blue with tangerine. It’s not a combo that is found often but it really works and makes everything seem so vibrant. The fridge is stunning. I got a De’Longhi Icona toaster for a wedding present and I adore it, but so far it’s a lonely vintage style piece in my kitchen. Will defo be looking at the Big Chill to expand my style.

  4. I love the Big Chill appliances. I had to leave my original O’keefe and Merritt stove when we moved from California to Texas. I still haven’t replaced it. Boo. I also like the appliances from Elmira. Of course Big Chill’s prices are much more reasonable, but I LOVE the Elmira stuff, too.
