I am visiting the Toronto area for business this week, but in the evenings looking for all things rockabilly, hot rod, tiki and the likes. What good spots do you recommend? Is there central listings web page for any live music/events in the area?
Thanks for any info!

Hi! I just came across your blog and I was wondering if you knew how to find or if you know where I should search. “Look Magazine” took pictures of my grandmother, Helen Dryden. The article was called “A Panamanian Girl”. I believe it was in the 1930’s or 40’s. I want to say 1938, but I’m not sure. Do you have any suggestions on where I could go to try to find that article from Look Magaizine. Thank you! Love your blog!
Hi Kristin, thanks for reaching out and thanks for the nice compliment about my blog 🙂
Okay first up..How great was it that your grandmother appeared in Look Magazine? WOW! Now onto your wish to find the magazine she was in. The only thing I found was several articles on the “Museum of the City of New York’ in 2018 embarking on a project to catalog, process, and digitize the Museum’s LOOK magazine photo archive collection. I think your best start is to reach out to them. I also read in the article that most of LOOK’s archives reside with the Library of Congress (they should be who you reach out to as well).
Good luck! Please let me know if you find anything.
