Back in 2016, I did a Vintage Photo Tuesday post featuring real life images of people from the 1920s-1950s posing with their cars. It was a popular post and I have always thought I should do a Part 2 of because there was just so much content out there. So friends that is what you are getting today!

Vintage 1924 photo of the lovely Brox sisters in a toy car.

Who were the Brox Sisters? They were an American trio of singing sisters (who began their career in Canada), enjoying their greatest popularity in the 1920s and early 1930s.

  1. The flamingo brooch on our young woman on the left. LOVE IT!!!!
  2. Saddle Shoes on the youngest daughter on the right.
  3. Everyone’s 1940s hairstyles (hello braid crown!).
  4. THE PUPPY!!! awwwwww!
  5. And of course their 1940s fashions (lovely dresses, coats and other accessories).

I know there is technically no cars in this photo to fit the topic of today’s post, but how can I pass by this fantastic 1940s photo of two gorgeous women posing at a gas station? I just couldn’t! What a fun idea!

I love city street images that show off just life as it was in the time the photo was taken. Like this lovely 1950s photo featuring cool cars and our pretty lady in her 1950s summer dress.

This photo was labelled 1950s but I believe it’s more early 1960s with the style of the amazing dress our gorgeous lady is wearing (but correct me if I am wrong!). Great eyeglasses too!

Vintage Watch Ads- The Original Tick Tock

Pinterest at the start of the year predicted a few trends that they believe are going to see searches pickup for on their platform and one of those was clocks & watches.

Now here at the Vintage Inn Blog we know already that Horology (“the study of time” & or an “instrument for telling the hour”) has been trendy for a very long time. How can you not love a vintage watch that keeps on ticking for ever and ever? So for today’s post let’s have a bit of fun with it and showcase some cool vintage watche ads (clocks will have it’s own post another time) from the 1920s-1960s that I have found on the web (plus some lovely vintage examples).
