I was recently gifted this May 1950 Good Housekeeping Magazine seen below. It’s filled with loads of good content for my blog and so I thought I would start with some of the vintage ads that caught my eye.

The Recipes: Banana Cream Pie, Almond Cream Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Coconut Cream Pie and Vanilla Cream Pie. YUMMY!!

1950 singer sewing machine ad featuring everything you can make for your home. You can make drapes, curtains, slip covers and for less than store prices.

“Tonight!…Show him how much lovelier you hair can look after a Lustre-Creame Shampoo”.
Love the 1950s hairstyle featured as well. This is a fairly simple one to recreate (at least I think so).
