I love Christmas time and while this year is going to be very very different for myself and my family (aka I’m staying in Toronto and not visiting my family). I also love vintage Christmas photos and have done several posts on them in the past (check them out at the end of this post). So I’m excited that it’s Vintage Photo Tuesday again so I can share some more holiday photos I have found online.

Vintage Christmas Images 1940s-1960s
Christmas parties are the best! Especially when they are fancy like this 1940s party taken in the Norfolk area (Britain). Everyone looks so happy and I love all the festive touches everywhere including that mistletoe hanging.

Dances are a popular thing to do during the holidays, like in the 1940s photo of a Christmas dance, sponsored by the 1323rd Engineers in Texas. What a party! Look how packed the dance floor is and how fantastic and handsome the women and men look (those 1940s hairstyles..drool!). Love it!

1950s Photo of a little child beside the Christmas Tree with all the toys he got at Christmas.
Wow this photo has so many awesome things to look at, I don’t even know where to begin! Look at all the toys under that tree! Look at that vinyl chair! Those tropical curtains (drool) and the bubble lights on the tree and the glass bulbs and all that tinsel! This photo is incredible!

Vintage Style Goals! I want this women’s look! What a beauty in this 1940s vintage photo. Where to begin?
Well first off her DRESS!!! EEK! With the sequined bow on the front, hip swag and caged short sleeves, this 1940s evening gown is a winner in my books. And her glasses suit her so well. Love! I also want the barkcloth curtains in the background and all the tinsel that she has on her tree.

1950s / 1960s photo of 2 adorable young girls holding dolls in front of the Christmas Tree. They are so happy!

Vintage Photo of a Mid Century Family at Christmas in the 1960’s sitting at a table with christmas treats and a cute dog. My grandmother (Omi) always had a similar three tiered treat / baking holder out at the holidays. The other decorations are the perfect level of Christmas Kitsch for me!

This 1940s photo of a pretty young woman in a fantastic 1940s dress looking all sad and lonely by the Christmas Tree, is my mood these days. I feel this is 1940s Liz. Anyone else feel the same way?
Side note..great radio!

New Christmas Party game idea! Draw dark eyebrows on the men and women and smoke cigars! A 1950s vintage photo. I love the guy holding the garbage can and I can just hear him say, “don’t light my carpet on fire folks!” hahaha

1950s vintage photo of the work Christmas Party featuring Papa Noel (aka Santa Claus), stylish women and 2 men in uniform. Great 1950s fashions on our ladies in the middle (love the striped sweater).

Can you get any cooler then this couple who are just chilin in front of a very naked Christmas Tree? “Too cool for Christmas” is what I will call this 1968 vintage photo.

“Then I told him..Bob I can’t watch the kids and decorate the home for Christmas at the same time”. Fun 1950s/1960s photo of a woman on the phone surrounded by Christmas decorations while her kid plays on the ground.

1960s photo of an Aluminum Xmas Tree with red themed ornaments and a modern TV. Kitschy Christmas decorations sit under the tree. Pretty!
Do any of my readers own an aluminum tree today? Or had one in the past? I want one for my home, but they are not the cheapest when you manage to find one. Some day!
